Mission: To enrich people's lives through the development and practice of creative, contemplative, and healing arts
Programs: Art exhibits: we hosted eight art exhibits in gallery i, seven in gallery ii and continued a permanent exhibit in a third gallery. We partnered with eight other organizations to produce exhibitions. Students from the dakota memorial school in fargo, nd. , a group home for children permanently removed from their homes, was produced by the students and exhibited in gallery ii. Another notable partnership was with the human family, a group invitational exhibit regarding human rights. The north dakota human rights exhibition coincided with a film festival hosted in fargo and an awards ceremony for participating artists occurred at the spirit room during a reception. The exhibit then travelled off- sight to a gallery space at st johns lutheran church. We also partnered with nordic culture clubs to host two exhibits, one textile/fabric, titled, skinfell and the other rosemaling, titled, rosemaling, a colorful tradition.
artist studios: our 24 artist studios continue to be very popular with a waiting list of aspiring artists. We continue to make physical improvements to the premises and raise standards for those accepted into the group. Each artist has their own studio with security and access to their studios 24/7.
classes: we continue to add classes that fit our mission, to enrich lives through the development and practice of creative, contemplative and healing arts. Currently, we have 23 classes per week in the areas of dance, yoga, meditation and addiction recovery.
