Mission: Speranza animal rescue's mission is to the rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home dogs that suffer from the most severe cases of abuse and neglect.
Programs: Rescued 134 dogs, with 86 dogs being adopted to forever homes. 50 dogs are being cared for on the premises at all times with an average of 18-35 additional dogs in foster care. Libre "the bug-eyed miracle" was used throughout the year to bring awareness to the inadequate animal cruelty laws in pennsylvania. The efforts of speranza, lebre, and the national humane society resulted in the passage of libre's law which increased the penalties for animal cruelty in pennsylvania.
