Mission: Special ops survivors is dedicated to helping surviving spouses of fallen special operations personnel make healthy transitions in their post-loss lives. The organization primarily provides 1) individual emotional assistance, 2) peer-based emotional support services, 3) career scholorship grants, and 4) emergency financial aid to surviving spouses.
Programs: Contract services, education and outreach, and administrative in support of direct program expenses.
group emotional support: each year, special ops survivors holds at least one survivors' conference. Each conference is unique in its own way, but the goal of each conference is to promulgate peer-based emotional assistance and provide practical life-skills training for survivors to better manage their day-to-day lives. Special ops survivors covers the cost of local transportation, lodging, all workshop costs and most meals for survivors.
direct financial assistance education and career advancement grants: special ops survivors awards education and career advancement grants to surviving spouses to reward them for their strength and resiliency as they pursue additional education to further their careers. Emergency financial aid: special ops survivors awards limited amount of emergency financial aid to surviving spouses to assist them with unexpected expenses.
This organization is the best organization to help Special Ops Survivors cope with the loss of their spouse and assists them moving forward with their lives. This organization has helped over 250 Special Ops Survivors build a support group of spouse who may not know exactly how their spouses were killed. The organization does not forget the fallen and recognizes the families for their ultimate sacrifice to this great nation.
