This organization needs to be organized a bit better by having more people volunteering and more teams available for specific sports like for example more swim teams available in a more areas across the state like for example in the cities. The organization needs to be listing sports that are available by area and not by county and put contact information in for those folks that are in charge of what sport.

Causes: Special Olympics, Sports
Mission: Promotion of physical fitness, sports training, and athletic competition for mentally challenged citizens of west virginia.
Programs: The organization provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of olympic-style sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities (many of whom also have physical disabilities) giving them the ability to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience joy. The organization provides five (5) state games and nearly 60 local competitions involving 19 sports which benefits approximately 4,200 special olympics west virginia atheletes in 38 counties. The organization programming is supported by a network of more than 4,000 community volunteers.
