I would like to share my story I lived as a prostitute a lot of my life God brought me through late in life as I was also a Pill Popper and alcoholic I would like to use my story to help other women and give glory to God my dream is to work and help women in Sparrow place I also lost a son at a very young age and gave up a daughter for adoption because of the life I led Jesus brought me through all of this to where I am now he put a desire in my heart to help other women that suffered the same type of life thank you

Sparrow Place has been and continues to do amazing work for women survivors of human trafficking, addiction, and so much more. The whole team works together to collaborate and meet the needs of the women they serve. Sparrow Place is dedicated to carrying on the mission of their founder, Jan Wilson, in all they do.

I have been blessed to be apart of the Sparrow Place team for a little over a year. They are a group of individuals united in their passion to make a difference in the lives of survivors. The Sparrow Place team is intentional in their pursuit and training of volunteers so that they can be equipped to support residents during their comprehensive healing process. Experiencing the growth and life-change in residents is nothing short of miraculous. Serving and supporting this nonprofit has been a life-enriching experience and I am grateful.

WOW! The new Program Manager, Cassie Smith, is passionate about survivor care and preventative education. She jumped ALL-IN to her job role and has been speaking with the youth in our high schools, training and guiding SP staff and volunteers, and has been making connections with other survivor service organizations, including; Peace Promise, Thistle Farms, Bloom, and Greenlight Operation. The mission of Sparrow Place is to help build a reality where every woman survivor has access to safe and supportive housing, financial independence, and a lifelong community of support. I am feeling hopeful!

This is an incredible group through which women, and men can have a practical impact on working to disrupt and dismantle sex trafficking, in our time. The group has focused in recent years on community education and awareness on the subject, and, in preparing to meet the advanced requirements of survivor needs. In not too many months Sparrow Place will be graduating restored survivors back into our communities, to continue growing the national network for healing. The journey of restoration and healing has begun. Join the volunteers and supporters of Sparrow Place in moving forward with our women residents.

If you know Jan Wilson and Zoie Roppelt, , It is impossible not to be aware of Sparrow Place and the seriousness of the human trafficking problem in the York Area. I met these two women at Grace United Methodist Church in Shrewsbury several years ago while volunteering at their Gifts of Grace food “pantry” housed there. At the time, not only was I unaware of this problem, I didn’t even consider that this could happen here. Their heartfelt dedication to educating others opened my eyes as it has countless others. Their commitment to fund raising and partnering with other organizations has resulted in the establishment of a safe haven for women. They work tirelessly to prevent and rehabilitate. Sparrow Place goes above and beyond to establish a safer more caring community.

Wonderful group that is starting a program to shelter and heal women and girls that have been sex trafficed! A great need in our country!

Sparrow Place is an amazing organization that will not only have a home for survivors, but also educates the community on human trafficking. They have a passion to help the survivors who have gone through a tremendous amount of pain, both mental and physical. I have been volunteering with them from the very beginning and will continue to do so.

Such an amazing organization working to provide long-term restorative care to female survivors of human trafficking. So excited to be on this journey with them as they prepare to open the doors to their new home, the first of its kind in York County. This group is full of love, compassion and willing to be a voice for the voiceless. I know they are looking for service providers and people who are willing and able to offer classes in areas such as furniture refurbishing, quilting, knitting, baking, etc. We would love to hear from you!

One of the most dedicated and inspirational groups I’ve ever seen. They are dedicated to making a positive change for women and the community.

I am excited about what’s happening with Sparrow Place. Eyes are being opened to the reality that human trafficking is in fact in our home towns, thanks to the efforts of SP. With leadership that is firmly grounded and and focused on the mission, this is a group that I’m confident will give a second chance at life to many!

A nonprofit organization is as good as its leader. The leader of Sparrow Place, Jan Wilson, is an amazing, trustworthy, passionate, strong, honest woman of God who only wants to help individuals get well again and lead a fruitful life. I have seen story after story of how she has helped people get it together again. She is not shy so you will see her everywhere advocating for Sparrow Place. Jan genuinely cares about people. She comes up with new and innovative ways to get the word out about Sparrow Place. Above all, she is a praying lady and when you have God on your side, well then, Sparrow Place will succeed in its goal of helping others!

This is a committed organization with people that have a passion to make a difference. Was proud to be a volunteer and looking forward to serving again.

Sparrow Place is headed up by an extraordinary group of people who are passionate about women ensnared in the evil of sex trafficking, committed to offering hope and healing to these women through the opening of a safe home, along with a Drop-In Center, in which that can occur, and dedicated to making their community aware of the reality of trafficking in their towns. The team of men and women who support this non-profit with their time, energy and finances is ever growing . Since its beginning Sparrow Place has been run with great integrity and is an organization of which I am blessed to be a part.

Sparrow Place is an amazing organization with even more amazing employees and volunteers. They truly care about their mission and helping exploited victims. I'm so very blessed to be a part of this movement for York city.

Sparrow Place is a growing organization in Southeastern Pennsylvania that is working to fill a much needed gap. Their current work speaking about and supporting survivors of human trafficking is bringing people into the struggle to end this terrible scourge. As they continue to evolve, Sparrow Place's goals are to continue education while also providing a shelter for women who have survived human trafficking. This will be a huge boon for their region.

Sparrow Place is fiscally well-managed, highly active on various media platforms, and engaged with the community on many fronts.
