I first visited Spark Ventures' partner in Zambia on my own in 2013 but I knew, almost as soon as I had arrived and met the incredible teachers and students at Hope School, that this was an experience I wanted to share with my own family. We've since been back to Zambia more than once and have been to Nicaragua and Mexico with Spark Ventures as well. I am always in awe of the local leaders Spark Ventures has partnered with - they are ardent and inspiring advocates for their communities. They have dedicated their lives to providing resources and opportunity to the children they serve and Spark Ventures is there to empower them to do what they do best.

I was introduced to Spark Ventures ten years ago when it was a new organization. I have watched first hand how it has focused on supporting strong partners in Mexico, Nicaragua and Zambia, with a new partner in Chicago in 2020.
This organization listens to its partners and provides funding, business acumen, and training for each organization to thrive.
As important, Spark keeps its organizational structure lean, so donors know their support goes to partners. Spark watches every dollar judiciously and measures its impact through metrics.
This organization is making real change in the most impoverished communities. COVID has only exacerbated the need to provide support to those who are deserving.
