This organization is incredible. They are able to help empower women and local leaders in very hard to reach places. Their model of focusing on local leaders providing solving local problems using local solutions is such a breath of fresh air.

SowHope is one of the few organizations out there that helps build up communities to be able to support themselves after the conclusion of the project. They specifically ask the locals what they need help with so they know what specific projects will make the biggest impact. They then find local leaders to help teach their communities business and sustainability practices that not only help them but their families and the whole community around them.

I volunteered with SowHope because I saw the direct impact that they have on the lives of so many people that normally have less opportunities in life. Every person that I've met within SowHope have been genuine about their passion to share opportunities for women. My volunteer experience helps me keep a balanced world view and has let me practice and improve my skills while having a positive impact on the world.

SowHope is an incredible, efficient organization. I love their mission to inspire women around the world by promoting wellness, education, and economic opportunities. There truly is a ripple effect seen when you empower women, who then empower their families and then their communities. SowHope's strategy to work with the local leaders solving local problems using local solutions is what sets them apart from any other international nonprofit that I've seen.

This organization aims at helping the poorest most disadvantaged women in the world. It reaches out to women in multiple countries, many in Africa, helping them with education, economic opportunities, and wellness. And it does so not by outside leadership but by encouraging local women leaders. Sow Hope finds capable local women who imagine how women's lives could be improved, who plan and who apply for funding that will enable them to realize their dream. The funds are not high dollar amounts, but when applied diligently make an enormous difference in a community. Lives are transformed for the better. Hope for a better life is kindled and it grows.

The struggles and issues women face are fairly universal, but the difference and beauty that I have found and cause me to support SowHope is that the projects are as unique and individual as the towns and villages in which the women live.
It is refreshing that SowHope does not seek to Americanize these women, nor does it seek to use the same answer in every village let alone country, instead it seeks local leaders to address local problems, and then is able to provide education, wellness and literacy to facilitate local answers.
It is an organization which empowers and improves and is not self-seeking. It's humanitarian efforts are life-changing and village changing.
I have been a donor or interested patron since 2006. I have not traveled with the organization, and the only video I have is a livestream from my FaceBook page and subsequently SowHope's.

I just learned about your organization. My niece is now volunteering for you. I comment all of your efforts to help the poor and oppressed women of the world. I have friends who volunteer at a Grand Rapids Global Trades Center. I think it is great that the original creators receive the money they so deserve, for their unique talents.

I'm a student at Muskegon Community College and had the pleasure to be introduced to this wonderful, inspiring, non-profit organization. The main idea of SowHope is to encourage and help impoverished women around the world, promoting wellness, education, and even economic opportunites. Mrs. Mary Dailey Brown is the president of this organiztion and has devoted her life to helping less fortunate women in the Developing World. I've been able to observe many different videos, articles, and pictures of oppressed women and it is truly heartbreaking; SowHope is here to make a difference. The passion this staff has is something rarely seen, you can tell that what they are doing is a life passion, they want to make a difference. I only recently started volunteering for this organization, but it has already become a passion of mine as well. I encourge you to live out the SowHope motto and lend a hand; "Where there is despair, let me sow hope.” (Francis of Assisi)
