Mission: Advocacy to improve the lives of families and children in the sw area thru connections with community partners to help those trying to break out of poverty. The center opened in 2012 and provides a wide array of activities and services though partnerships with 40+ agencies, alachua county, scouts, uf, and others to provide tutoring, summer programming, computer access, and more.
Programs: Support for construction and establishment of the children's early learning center for children age 0 to 5 including donation of land and payment of permit, legal and insurance expenses. Capacity will be 40-50 children
back to school program which supplies backpacks and school supplies for 200 children
thanksgiving food program - 222 residents
summer program for 50 school age children, monthly community dinners served to 659 residents, holiday program attended by 78 individuals; capoeira classes for 30 kids; bike rehab program to 64 children
