Our family loves Southern Reins. My son, Rhett, is non-verbal, non-mobile and very hypotonic. When he first started riding in 2014 he had problems sitting up and balancing, but now that's a thing of the past. At his last session he sat up tall with his back straight for a count of 20 and he also verbalized "WALK!" So AMAZING!!! Getting on the horse is the high point of his week. Seeing him smile and knowing he's having fun while meeting his therapy goals is absolutely AWESOME. The staff and volunteers are all so very friendly, sweet and professional. Just a really, really wonderful group of people I'm proud to know and call my friends. I highly recommend Southern Reins. They are truly making a positive, lifetime difference for the future of my little boy. I can't wait to see what else therapeutic riding with Southern Reins will help my Rhett achieve. THANK YOU!!!

Southern Reins Therapeutic Riding has been a valuable therapy experience for my son, Andrew. He enjoys his time learning to groom the horse prior to his riding, and is so happy to be able to ride horses at Lynch Ranch! Gary and his sons have been very gracious in participating with the riders and opening up their arena for use by Southern Reins. Andrew had Sara as instructor for several years, and now Mariah. They have both been so kind and really interested and tuned in to their riders' specific needs and likes, dislikes and preferences. I appreciate the volunteers as well. They have all been so kind and thoughtful. The volunteers with Southern Reins really put their heart into helping the participants enjoy their ride, and do so with safety in mind as well. I cannot say enough good things about Southern Reins! We love them and hope they will always be available to provide this valuable service, meeting the therapy needs of children and adults with Special Needs. Thank you Southern Reins and Lynch Ranch! Andrew loves riding with you and I am grateful for you all! Sincerely, Christine Gilbert.

Southern Reins is a place where miracles truly happen everyday! Everyone who arrives at the barn are encouraged & uplifted through the mission of Equine Therapy! The staff are amazing, the horses are incredible, all the participants are inspiring, and the volunteers come from all walks of life to help! The joy that shows on the participants faces as they ride, brush, & lead the horses is contagious and warms my heart every time! I will be forever thankful for the opportunity to volunteer here and to be a small part of this awesome place ~ Southern Reins!

Southern Reins is a magical place for children, adults, and volunteers. Horses have a way of changing lives, fulfilling dreams and providing unconditional love. I never knew that horses were used for therapy until I started volunteering at Southern Reins. Witnessing children and adults who suddently light up when they are placed on the saddle is truly magical, when side walkers are asked to walk away from the rider and the horse so the rider can take control of the horse who then leads her horse around the arena is truly amazing. Southern Reins has pulled at my heart strings and makes my heart so full.
