Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals
Mission: Southern Ohio Cat Rescue and Sanctuary is a nonprofit 501c3 organization dedicated to providing a safe and loving environment for cats in need. Our no-kill sanctuary and adoption/foster programs ensure that every cat receives the care and attention they deserve.
Results: We are new as a registered 501c3 organization. For the past 7 years, we have operated out of our own home as a small, private rescue at our own expense. As our reputation grew, more and more people reached out to us as a resource to assist with feline rescue and rehoming. Now, we have hopes of raising funding to purchase property and build our own dedicated facility to house our cats. Once our facility is a reality, we anticipate benefitting the lives of up to 1,000 cats per year and engaging the communities with educational and volunteering opportunities.
