I visited a recent event in North Hollywood at Royal Pet and spent the day!

So Cal Pom Rescue is amazing. The team truly cares about each pom and I felt all my questions were answered, and I couldn’t be happier thinking of adding a new furry friend! These folks are all about giving poms a second chance at a loving home. Highly recommend them to anyone looking to adopt!

I have enjoyed fostering with SCPR since 2012. This rescue cares about the health and well-being of their doggies and have them thoroughly vetted, including wellness checks, microchips, vaccines, spays/neuters, and aesthetic dental cleanings, as well as bloodwork before any needed surgeries. Leesa tirelessly gives of herself to help these adorable Pommies out of their situation and into forever, loving homes. Every month one or more adoption events are held. I highly recommend you try fostering a Pommie and see for yourself how very rewarding it is. You’ll never regret it : )

My wife and I heard about SCPR and the great work they do in saving in need pomeranians. We have been volunteers with the rescue for a little over a year and are amazed at how fast the rescue responds to get proper care for dogs they find in shelters or are surrendered and how thorough they are in vetting potential new homes.

I heard about this rescue and their dedication to saving as many Pomeranians in need as possible. Since my husband and I started volunteering with SCPR they have rescued 12 Pomeranians at one time from a hoarder situation, got a call to take in a dog that was pregnant and arrived while she was giving birth, and pulled a dog from the shelter who had been hit by a car, just to name a few of the rescues. They take in dogs in need in any condition, figure out how to cover medical costs, and then find them loving forever homes

I have adopted 7 Pomeranians over the last 15+ years from this organization. They do an amazing job of perfectly placing these little angels with the right people. They are compassionate and work to heal and nurture these little nuggets, getting them the best possible care with the resources they have in house.

I haven't found a better rescue for pets, ever! I have been to other rescues and have called many others for a pet I got in the past, and these people put a lot of care into their program. They're visible in the community and they are responsible with all dogs needing a forever home. Plus, they're very nice and fun people! That's priceless!

SCPR is an amazing dog rescue! They put on a meet and greet adoption event where we met our beautiful new daughter! I even won the Pom Mom raffle basket! We are so thankful to them for introducing us to the newest addition to our “furmily”! We plan to continue our relationship with them in the future! Thanks again!!

In 2013 I adopted Nikki (cream) and Meeko (parti) from SCPR. They were rescued by SCPR from the Baldwin Park Shelter. Because they were a bonded pair, they remained in foster care for a while, waiting for their forever home. Then I came along... It was a perfect match. They were very well cared for and loved. The way SCPR cares for their rescues, conducts their adoptions and follow-up is exceptional! Nikki & Meeko have crossed Rainbow Bridge. They were the two sweetest fur babies and filled my heart and life with so much love and joy for many years. I continue to support this organization and will continue to do so for many years to come.

Southern California Pomeranian Rescue is a wonderful group. They take such good care of the Pomeranians they rescue. They vet the dogs, spay or neuter, do dentals, get medication or anything else they need. They also make sure the dogs are placed in a kind and loving home. We adopted our first dog, Walter, from them. He was the best dog for our family. All their volunteers have such a kind and wonderful heart.

After locking eyes with a little face up for adoption on Petfinder I got in touch with SoCal Pomeranian Rescue to see if he was available. After completing an application and phone interview they brought him to meet me and we are forever in love. I can’t say enough good things about the beautiful, kind, fun, caring and beyond organized women (Angels) who tirelessly work on behalf of saving these dogs. I know how in animal rescue you can sometimes see the best & worst in human beings and this group of people working so hard to help these little dogs has such a positive and warm energy that radiates. They are honest about what the dogs they rescue have been through and any personality traits that may need extra care to overcome. We had been in a exhausting period of transition after a big move and personal loss. He has made our new house feel like a home and makes our hearts so happy every single day. Our little man was saved by this amazing organization from the high risk “new hope” list pulled from a LA county shelter. They truly saved him and we are forever greatful.

Years ago, a friend at SCPR convinced me to take in a little dog. That was my pommie angel Sasha and from day one she was a happy addition to my pack. I then met Leesa and a fantastic group of volunteers. Volunteers that foster dogs, transport dogs, help in creating fundraising and adoption events… it sure is a team effort that goes into each adoption, and so worth it. Southern California Pomeranian Rescue - HONEST, TRANSPARENT and DEVOTED to finding each dog a safe loving home.

The SCPR volunteers work very hard to save as many dogs as they can responsibly help. Since I love dogs, I try to support such a fine group by making donations whenever possible so the SCPR Team can help more dogs in need of rescue. As a 501c3 Non Profit, this All Volunteer Run Organization is always grateful for the donations they receive. It gives me comfort knowing 100% of my donation goes directly to the care of dogs in need.

They have always taken such great care of the dogs that I foster with them and every time I see their Pomeranians I just really debated taking another dog on but gosh darn it it’s so hard with these beautiful pups that are healthy and ready to go when you want a new companion.

Oh my word! These people are phenomenal, friendly and so compassionate! The way they work together and the way they go after the needy animals in the area that are within their scope, it's just amazing. We live in fire country and animal evacuations are not uncommon. The unfortunate and despicable cases of animal abuse do not go unnoticed by SCPR. The hearts of the volunteers and their board show just know much people can do when they want to make a difference. Donate here and adopt a pet! You won't be sorry!

I'm a Foster Failure!!! YUP, that's me. I used to visit the Pomeranian booth at the Pet Expo every year ... around 12-13 years ago my life changed for the best. I met Benbosky and Leesa visiting the booth, started out fostering and POOF! Most of my life I knew I wanted to work with a dog rescue, I just wasn't sure which rescue or in what capacity. Leesa is the most amazing Angel on Earth and gives of herself to these furbaby's in need and to this rescue on a level no one will ever know, comprehend or even understand. Actually, I don't think most people would even believe how much of her own life and resources she gives to SCPR. It's absolutely my honor to know her and be involved with SCPR. I've come across so many dog rescue's, being a dog devote' my entire life and all dog rescue's are special in there own way, but the SCPR team is an incredible group of people who bring their own individual talents to the All Volunteer run 501c3 Nonprofit Organization. What an amazing, life changing, miracle to be a part of!!! Share in the story of SCPR, follow the ongoing story of SCPR and be a part of the SCPR story! You will be so intoxicated by the successes achieved by a group of people who give of their hearts for SCPR and furbaby's in need as they transition to their Forever homes!

Discovering and working with SCPR truly changed my life as well as my family’s life. Leesa and the team at Southern California Pomeranian Rescue are miracle workers. They help rehabilitate and place the sweetest, best behaved dogs. I cannot say enough amazing things about the work SCPR does. If you are looking to donate to a truly worthy cause or adopt a beautiful, sweet forever friend you have found the place with SCPR. I have adopted several dogs from them in the past thirteen years and I could not be happier. Friends and family have seen what a positive impact the pups have had on my life that several of them have also adopted from SCPR. I will never be without a Pomeranian in my life and I owe that to the fantastic work SCPR does.

I have had the sincere pleasure of volunteering with SCPM by them trusting me to create thank you cards, and sympathy cards for their family of clients …. They are one of the most amazing non-profits that I have ever worked with “Family” being the key word.   They treat everyone with such care and treat every animal as it was their own….   If I had to come up with two words to describe their non-profit, it would be Unconditional Love.   They start your journey to loving your newly adopted forever baby … and they support you, and care for you and come along for the wonderful ride.  It is without hesitation that I would recommend this non-profit for a top ranked non profit…

My first experience with SCPR a was in 2010, when I adopted 2 Poms Hope and Lil Joe. I was so impressed by their love and dedication to the animals and working so hard for their care and well being. The organization was 100% volunteers who work tirelessly out of their love and care for the breed. I was so moved and impressed that I ended up Joining them as a volunteer. They truly operate from the heart and do everything for the dogs. SCPR is just a big group of friends who pull their talents together and the absolute love for the dogs and that truly makes them special.

I have adopted two wonderful Pomeranians from So Cal Pomeranian Rescue. Both Poms had been checked by their vet and were given a clean bill of health. If I had a question I had an answer quickly. I have been very happy with the dogs and they are now happy members of my family and will be for years to come.

I’ve had a somewhat different experience with the dog adoption process. A little over a year ago I submitted an application to So Cal Pom Rescue for a dog I was interested in. Sadly, that specific dog had already found his forever home. After some time I put my rescue dog search on hold. When I began again, I was able to get in contact with Leesa from So Cal Pom Rescue. After some email exchanges, Leesa called me for a phone interview. She let me know she found my application from a year ago and would help expedite the process of placing a dog with me. She selected a dog that she believed would be a good fit for me and my needs and she nailed it. The dog that she helped me welcome into my home was the perfect dog for my lifestyle. I feel so blessed to have been able to communicate with Leesa and having her expertise in this process. Even after the dog was placed in my home, I have been able to reach out with questions and requests for guidance. Pomeranians are a high maintenance dog that require a lot of care and I’ve been fortunate to have guidance from this nonprofit. I would recommend anyone looking to find that perfect pet to go through So Cal Pom Rescue. They really care for their pets and make sure they are a good fit for their forever home.

Leesa Molina and the other hardworking volunteers at the Southern California Pomeranian Rescue make up the most amazing rescue we have ever been fortunate enough to adopt from. Over the last decade, we have adopted 3 Poms who were perfect for us and our family. We have worked with other rescues that adopt out sick dogs or don't even try to match the needs of the dogs to the people wanting to adopt.
SCPR has changed our lives by making sure their dogs are healthy and vetted before being adopted out. This rescue deserves a 15 out of 10!!
Here are some of the dogs we have adopted from them who have filled our hearts with unbelievable love and joy. LuLu, on the left and being held in the middle picture, is our newest rescue. Hunee is in the crate. We adopted her almost 11 years ago, and on the R is Foxy, who was 9 when SCPR pulled her from a shelter and rehabilitated her. They put her in my arms just to cuddle, and we fell in love...again...and adored her for the next 4 years.
This rescue is simply the BEST!!
