I have been involved with several non-profit organizations over the years, but none any better than the Southeast New Hampshire Habitat chapter. Their degree of organization and commitment to fiscal responsibility ensures the effective persuit of their vision: A world where everyone has a decent place to live. I am proud to be associated with this group.
I am so proud to be a part of this AMAZING organization! We are so grateful for our volunteers and amazed by all the support we receive from the Seacoast community. We are blessed to have had 1,500 volunteers come out to help build Habitat Homes in both Dover & Raymond, NH in 2019.
Two more veteran families and their beautiful children have turned their dream of affordable homeownership into reality and we couldn't be happier for them!
The amazing work that this local Habitat affiliate does in our community needs to be celebrated. Southeast New Hampshire Habitat serves the community by bettering the lives of many in such a dramatic way that it truly changes lives. I have seen the work this local affiliate has done to build a house that was handicap accessible for a local veteran who had fallen on hard times. These stories don't get celebrated enough and I am thrilled to be nominating Southeast New Hampshire Habitat for this accomplishment.
Great people, great mission, great work! They are very organized and very efficient. Love working with them.
Every holiday season instead of bringing my clients stale cookies, I make a donation to SENH Habitat for Humanity and they in return send holiday cards to my client list noting that a donation has been made in their name. I know it's a lot of work for them to get those cards out (about 30 of them), but my clients really appreciate knowing they are being honored with a donation to a group who helps people in our own backyard!
Amazing volunteers, incredible opportunities, satisfying outcome, vibrant staff, obtainable mission are just a few catch phases that definitely apply to SENH Habitat for Humanity. The organization seeks to use the God given talents of individuals to serve others,
I've volunteered with SENH Habitat for the past three years and it is inspiring to see this organization unite so many people and organizations behind its mission. I've met partner families and witnessed their commitment to working to achieve their own dream of home ownership, and their support of other partner families working on the same goal, paying the blessing forward.
SENH Habitat for Humanity is one of the best charitable organizations I've been involved with, as a volunteer and as a board member. Making home ownership possible for a deserving family, is rewarding and the right thing to do.

I have been involved with SENH Habitat for Humanity for almost a year now. I have worked on a few build sites, and met some of the families who benefit from these beautiful new homes. It's not a hand out. These families have to put in sweat equity and pay back the cost of materials by way of an interest free mortgage. It's a perfect model for meeting the needs of these families. The staff of SENH Habitat for Humanity are experienced, caring, and really know how to get the job done. This is one organization where you know your donation is being put to good use, and has a meaningful impact on society.
My husband and I became parents at a time in our lives when we were still trying to sort out the details of “being grown-up”. We moved our little family around the state multiple times trying to make fresh starts, but it was difficult. We were in the awkward place where together we made too much to qualify for any kind of help, but once taxes, rent, childcare, and other bills were taken care of, there was little left. We spent a couple years struggling to raise our young daughter while making ends meet, but barely.
it wasn’t until H4H unexpectedly came into our lives that we were really able to settle down and make that start. As our home was already built when we got involved with the organization, we began working on other local homes to get our volunteer time in, and met so many new and wonderful people with the same goal of making a difference.
We are forever grateful to Habitat for helping us settle down into a place we love. Since moving in in June 2014, I was able to find a better paying job that I love, my husband has grown in his career and we welcomed a son in April 2016. Being able to grow in our careers and as a family (and having a permanent place to do so) is such a blessing. Partnering with Habitat has taught us the importance of kindness, compassion, helping others and just being humans who make a difference to other humans. We are forever grateful for all the opportunities introduced to us and continue to live our lives every day in a way that parallels the Habitat way of life. -The Brooks Family
This is a wonderful vibrant non profit serving out Seacoast NH community. Reliable, kind leadership and dedicated volunteers! We love this organization!
I have worked with various non-profit organizations over the years and have the opportunity to review many in my line of work. I find that Southeast NH Habitat for Humanity exceeds most other non-profits in terms of the organization's management ability and its level of success. Moreover, they show a high level of respect for the families that they work with and for the volunteers who donate time and money towards their cause.
Amazing contributions from volunteers with diverse backgrounds and experiences to help provide housing for families in need. It's an organization with a great mission.
I have worked on two habitat homes so far and find it to be very rewarding. It's amazing to see these homes go up and the amount of people who come each day or week to give time to build these homes. The key celebration is the best, not a dry eye in the house! The families are so happy to have a home of their own that they too helped build.
A great organization!!!
I have volunteered and donated to multiple Habitat affiliates over the past 25 years and am privileged to have volunteered for and supported HFH SENH since 2008. Founded on Christian principles, the organizational goal is to give a hand up in life to hard working people of all faiths. The office staff are dedicated true believers who maintain vigilant cost control. The Restore staff run one of the most effective resale outlets I've seen and the construction supervisors make the volunteer experience safe, fun and rewarding. I am proud to be a part of this organization, proud to call these people my friends. You will be too.

Aww, thanks. It's really kind of you to take the time to make such lovely and thoughtful comments.
Back in August 2015 my mom and siblings moved into the house that habitat help build with them. My mom, stepdad, and siblings all helped build the house every weekend. Their house took a little over a year to build, but the wait was well worth it! Even though I do not live in the house with them, I feel so blessed to know that they now have a permanent place to call home. The wonderful volunteers that helped build the house, help with paperwork, there for any question, they all were amazing. So supportive and always willing to help a hand when ever needed. All the volunteers would help when ever help was needed. Knowing that there is a program such as habitat for humanity that is there to help a family in need is just amazing. I can not Thank them enough. My family has lived in their new beautiful home for a little over a year and they can not be more thankful.

Thanks Tyler! Appreciate your comments.
We were very fortunate to get selected as a habitat family and have been in our beautiful 4 bedroom home for a little over a year now. It took almost a year to build our home and we moved in on August 8th 2015. That was one of the happiest days of our lives. Building our home was one of the best experiences we will ever have. We got to meet to many kind and generous volunteers every week who would put hours into building our home, and the steady Eddies who made sure they came every Thursday and Friday were amazing. They became more than just volunteers but part of our family. Working for Douglas Gregorey the construction manager was so much fun. He had so much patience to work with so many people that may have never picked up a hammer before, such as myself. He took the time to make sure we safely used the tools appropriately and that whatever job we were doing was done right, if it wasn't there was always fix it Thursdays! He was always appreciative to everyone who showed up. The generosity from everyone was truly outstanding, from the volunteers, everyone who donated supplies, the different builds we had such as the woman's build and the bikers build. Lowes coming out for a day and doing so much planting, spreading grass seed, building gardens. From the very first step to putting in the application to being told your accepted for a home, to the ground breaking, building your home and doing your hours, it's a wonderful feeling, and a huge thank you to Marcie Bergeron the executive director for all that you do for Habitat. This wouldn't be possible if it weren't for you and all the hard work and efforts you and your amazing staff do such as fundraisers and grants to keep SENH Habitat going.
We are very thankful you all came into our lives and have this opportunity and a beautiful new home.
