Causes: Indigenous People
Mission: The mission of Southeast Indigenous Peoples' Center is to protect the rights of culture, subsistence, and heritage needed to preserve and restore the lands and Peoples' continued existence. SIPC's mission is based on a value for healthy ecosystems, which are testaments to our Peoples' lives, ways, values, and work. We are fulfilling our mission through research, monitoring, reporting, and advocating for Peoples that have historically had little voice but many useful words to say in the decisions affecting us. SIPC envisions healthy ecosystems with indigenous cycles so that indigenous Peoples and our other neighbors in the lands, winds, and waters may live well in safe habitat.
