The person that posted a negative comment requested to attend our specialized combat training. Upon interview and a cursory check on his background, we discovered the individual makes routine trips to Communist countries. He requested to participate with Communist style guns. We interview everyone that requests to attend this type of training, and it was simply out of abundance off caution, considering the possibility that our training might be exploited, against friendly troops. It was an unfortunate situation, and we have never had a thing like this before or since. We welcome all law-abiding citizens, and upon membership, we require an oath: I hereby affirm that I am not now, nor have I ever been, a member of any organization that has as apart of its program or goals the overthrow of the United States by means of force or violence, and if admitted to the South Texas Marksmanship Training Center, Inc., I will fulfill the obligations of good sportsmanship and uphold the Constitution of the United States.

I've lived in Texas since 2005, been active in shooting sports throughout the state. Finally moved to San Antonio and tried to become a member and attend a training. Tactical and defensive trainer looked me up on the internet, and looked at my CV and teaching experience and then sent me an email branding me "an enemy" he'd refuse to train! "Im one of them" whoever they are... As if I was a Saudi jihadist in flight school! At least he was candid, if crazy!
Wrote a letter to the President of the club, and he responded with tepid "CYA" boilerplate:
"Thanks for making us aware, now go away quietly and don't you think you had a hand in this dispute by using too many words in your email?"
This outfit has an airtight intersecting group of private companies to insulate themselves from criticism and back one another up... Hence the arrogant, smugly self-satisfied, noxious attitudes. I'm not sure what other professions are suspect or unwelcome to these "a$$-hats", but the idea that this is a "non-political organization" is a bald lie. New shooters: STAY AWAY!
