Our family became involved with STJDA shortly after it was founded nearly 10 years ago because our daughter had been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when she was 10 years old. STJDA gave her the opportunity to mentor younger kids living with diabetes and our family a way to help other families of newly-diagnosed children learn how to care for their child so they could be successful and thrive despite the diagnosis. We are proud to be associated with STJDA and the work it does throughout our area!

This is an amazing organization! I had the pleasure of volunteering for this group over the summer. They are completely committed to their work in ways I have never seen or experienced before. The RGV is lucky to have the knowledge, expertise, and heart of the STJDA in their community!

STJDA has been a lifeline for our family. If it were not for this organization I do not know how we would have made it through the first few months after diagnosis!
