Mission: The South Jersey Land & Water Trust is a volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation and protection of the land and water resources of Southern New Jersey - maintaining and enhancing the natural, cultural, and historic heritage of the region.
Results: SJLWT has assisted in the preservation of over 1,450 acres
SJLWT has assessed over 300 streams throughout South Jersey, installed rain gardens, and vegetated retention basin.
SJLWT has planted native gardens at local schools, libraries and parks.
SJLWT continues to give “Protect Our Waterways” presentations to local schools and scout groups.
SJLWT conducts monthly “Walk in the Woods” throughout South Jersey.

South Jersey Land and Water Trust became an accredited land trust in August 2018, a status that can be renewed every five years. Accreditation means South Jersey Land and Water Trust meets national quality standards for protecting important natural places and working lands forever. South Jersey Land and Water Trust demonstrated to the Land Trust Accreditation Commission its commitment to excellence.
