Mission: To provide job and life skill experiences for young women in south dakota and to serve as ambassadors for the state of south dakota and their communities.
Programs: South dakota senior snow queen festival is held to provide girls between the ages of 17-21 the opportunity to enhance their personal and life skills. The girls compete for scholarships and the opportunity to be an ambassador to their hometown and south dakota while on their travels and performing their duties throughout the year. There were 19 participants in the 2013 festival.
south dakota junior snow queen festival is held to provide younger girls, usually high school freshman, the opportunity to enhance their personal and life skills. There were 28 participants in the 2013 festival.
