I adopted a German Shepherd who had been rescued in Jan. 2013. He was starved , had been abandoned without food or water. I was allowed to take him because I had bred and raised GSD's for many years. He thrived and got well physically and psychologically with care. He has been the LIGHT OF MY LIFE for almost 9 years. I saw and appreciated so much the care and integrity of Elena McKnight and So. Brevard GSD Rescue for their great work in rescue. I lost my darling Axel on my birthday last month. I am heart broken, but grateful for so much happiness, for their rescue of Axel and for seeing that he and I found each other. Elena knows and loves Shepherds and does the best for them. From a skeleton, this was my darling. I believe Axel is in God's arms now... but I still can't stop crying.
