Mission: Our mission is to create a better world for pets and people by advocating for animals and driving positive change within our communities. Whether through our community engagement programs, providing emergency care in crises such as the 2011 North Dakota flood, and supporting local law enforcement in managing animal abuse or hoarding cases, our goal is to enhance the well-being of our community and make it a model of compassion and responsibility.
Results: Since 1978, we have helped over 35,000 animals through adoptions, medical services, microchipping, and legal cases.

Direct beneficiaries per year: Over 300 animals through adoptions and hundreds more through our various programs.
Geographic areas served: Our shelter is located in Minot, ND and we assist throughout the northwest region of North Dakota.
Programs: Our adoption program, the Severson Ahart Community Clinic, City of Minot animal impound, Spay It Forward, Emergency Animal Housing, Community Pet Food Pantey and rescue readers.
