I have been volunteering with Soupmobile for about 3 years now, and I have found that the Soupmobile not only feeds the stomach of the homeless community but more importantly feeds their soul. It has been my pleasure to work with this organization and I feel Blessed.

The staff and volunteers of the SoupMobile genuinely care and protect those they serve. The homeless are members at the SoupMobile Church while staff and volunteers are guest. The soil here is a good place to sow your seed.

As a regular volunteer soupmobile has given me a greater reason to greater myself and change my life. As other have said and will say soupmobile gives a hands up and not just a hand out meaning they give us the materials, the directions and motivate us to move forward and better ourselves. Not only food we are given life skills, employment leads. I am blessed to ever been a part of soupmobile.

Soupmobile is a wonderful charity that helps the homeless by feeding them everyday. Not only feeds them food but the word of the Lord. David Timothy is a blessed man who gives hopes and means to survive on the streets of Dallas.

At SoupMobile we are a mobile soup kitchen who provides box lunches to the homeless at a south Dallas location. Feeding people who may have not ate since the day before or even longer brings a great sense of fulfillment. The homeless can get in line as many times as they need until the food is gone. We also feed at our Sunday church service at SoupMobile Church.

Soupmobile is doing Gods work in helping the homeless. I helped out at their Christmas event at the omni hotel in downtown Dallas. We greeted the homeless as they arrived on several buses, hugged, clapped and cheered it was a sight to see all their happy faces. Awesome event taking all them and let them stay in the hotel for Christmas. Bless everyone at soupmobile especially the soupman.

The SoupMobile is the perfect manifestation of the ultimate truth that it's not what you say or think that makes the difference, it's what you do. At the SoupMobile everyone works hard to make a difference in the lives of people who cannot do for themselves, and provides opportunity in the form of a 'Hand Up' toward self sufficiency. Beginning as a volunteer and now as an office assistant I have seen the dedicated hard work up close. Genuine, positive, good people in a faith-based organization doing its best to provide a 'Hand Up' to those in need.

The Soupmpbile has made huge impact on my life
I myself had a destructive past
Where chances of employment was slim to none
Today I am a positive example of the amazing things the Soupmobile does in the streets of Dallas because I was given a HAND UP not hand out I was able to show I am responsible and couldn't have made it happen without the love of Christ working through David Timothy aka ( The Soup Man) executive director of the Soupmobile Today I am not only a proud member of The Soup Team. I have been with soupmobile 4 years now manager at the soupmobile thrift store .Speaking as a member of the Soupmpbile it's our Passion to help those less fortunate and it's so rewarding for me to show others how life can be turned around. Blessed

Ever since I was a little boy I felt that God wanted me to help the Homeless people in some way. I just did not know how. Then in 2009 I ended up in a homeless shelter. Through another organization I came to help out with the Soupmobile. There I found out the many different ways they help the homeless of Dallas. They fully believe in that verse in the bible that says Feed my Sheep. Not only do they feed them, they also have a housing program for singles as well as families. They all work together helping each other and forming friendships and bonds that last a lifetime. It is a wonderful team effort where they build each other up and those that were homeless have a place to stay and grow by serving their fellowman. Soupmobile's moto is "we are a hand up, not a hand out". Soupmobile is a great place to volunteer whether you are an individual or you represent an organization. I know from experience, it is fun and rewarding. If you want to volunteer just Contact David Toimothy by email at davidtimothy@soupmobile.org. Let him know when you can be available and he will send you all the details.

I originally started working with the SoupMobile as a volunteer. The organization does so much to impact the homeless community through their feeding, sheltering and church missions. They Go to the people, to meet their needs where they are; the streets of Dallas, Tx.
After working with the SoupMobile for almost a year, on and off, I unexpectedly, found myself in need of their services and the organization showed itself to be willing and able to assist.
As the Founder, Mr. David Timothy reports, they help provide a Hand Up to remedy crisis situations. There is no better place to volunteer, work and/or donate. The Soup Mobile is very much needed and serves a great purpose for the homeless and/or near homeless people in the city of Dallas!
SoupMobile is a Gift from God!

I'm SORRY if I burst anyone's bubble concerning the Soupmobile. If it's founder had stayed with serving food to the homeless via his mobile soup kitchen and with his Homeless Village concept most all would be cool and I would give him an above average rating of about B. Even though I do NOT believe the huge numbers he continues to report on how many meals he serves to the homeless on an annual basis. I dare ANYONE to follow the Soupmobile around for a whole week and you'll soon determine that he fudging his numbers. His numbers are inflated - I have no doubt. Also, here's my BIGGEST GRIPE against the founder. In 2005, he actually stole a Christmas Event at the Hyatt hotel that was lovingly created and produced by a formerly homeless person for 8 years. He brazenly stole this charity event via lies and cruelness towards this formerly homeless person. This Christmas Eve event has gone onto huge success for the Soupmobile the last eight even though the homeless creator is never mentioned or recognized for being the creator. Therefore, anyone with an ounce of decency would have to use the gift of discernment in judging how credible its founder really is. He comes across as being genial and sincere but you'll also hear people say behind his back that he's a narcissist. And, as proof, don't dare challenge any of his decisions as he has an explosive temper that borders on the ridiculous. However, his lowest act of all was when he stole his successful Christmas Event from a formerly homeless person. That, to me, was unforgivable. And the media and others in Dallas know the whole story but they continue to cover for this crook. Sorry, it's an honest review from personal experience.

The SoupMobile is the most rewarding volunteering I have ever done. The best part is being right there with the homeless to hug them, talk with them, and just simply love them. I have learned so much by serving the homeless. Their boundless faith leaves me humbled. I am so grateful to David Timothy, a.k.a. SoupMan, for this amazing opportunity.

Volunteers always have the same reaction...this is a fun place to work and everyone is so nice. That has been my experience as well. I had a passion for cooking and homeless people and started volunteering at the SoupMobile because they were they only non-profit that actually called me back. No matter what assignment they give me for the day, I do the work and am blessed because of it, knowing that I am giving to people in need. David Timothy, the SoupMan, is an amazing individual who truly appreciates everyone's hard work and makes it a great place to volunteer. They exist to give people a hand UP, not just a hand out and they show so much love in the process.
