Fledge camband spoke at our creation encounter- north Georgia wildlife park teen camp and it was amazing! God totally used him to touch lives! He is passionate about his faith and gifted in sharing and challenging people to more in their faith walk using stories from his Safari guide field experience. I highly recommend fledge as a speaker and supporting their ministry. We are praying for the doors to open again so we can join his team in their field work in Africa like he came and ministered to our campers!
Absolute trip of a life time, in so many different ways being able to serve His children, people, and care for His endangered creation!!! I went on this mission trip expecting to help at an orphanage and do some conservation work, which is awesome in itself, but I got so much more with Son Safaris! I would go back in a heart beat!!!
We did serve God's Children we played with, ministered to, loved on, and showed the kids they are loved. Modimo o a rata - means God Loves You in Sepedi the children's first langue, english their second.
We also cared for God's endangered creation! Fledge taught us so much about the African animals that I was able to feel a deep connection with each animal. These animals have a beauty and mentality like none I've ever seen before. You can get within a few feet of these animals on a game drive vehicle as humans on the reserve do not harm the animals. We assisted the research team in their conservation efforts for the animals.
I highly recommend this trip to anyone who is considering any sort of abroad mission trip, Son Safaris staff is the best! Really if you are questioning if this is the right trip for you and you want to talk to someone who's been on the mission feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I also know that Fledge will be more than happy to connect and talk with you about any questions/concerns you have, just reach out.
Son Safaris is an amazing ministry that takes teams of people from all across America to South Africa. Through this ministry, volunteers are able to work with a team of researchers to preserve God’s creation. While I was there, Fledge and the research team taught me so much about the wildlife there, and Fledge taught us about how God communicates through his creation. They also taught us about the unfortunate state of South Africa. Despite how bad the situation seems to be, they still have hope in their hearts, and so do the other ministries in the area. While we were there, we were able to work at a nearby children’s home that provided the children with necessities such as food, water, shelter, school, and more importantly than anything else: love. Meeting those kids alone was worth the trip for me. It’s truly amazing to see how these children without any blood relation will treat one another with the respect and love that you rarely see even between actual siblings. All in all, Son Safaris is a life-changing trip. If you want to learn more about God through his creation and want to learn how to love people better, this is the trip for you.
Son Safaris is a fantastic ministry that I firmly believe is aligned with the heart of God. During my 2 week trip, I had my perspective on global poverty broadened while getting to be a part of communicating to children, who have rarely if ever been told a message of love, that God loves them and that I love them. Also, through Fledge's heart for God's creation and the team of researchers he has partnered with, I gained extremely valuable insight into what it means to care for creation. It was great to get hands on experience helping take care of the majestic creatures of South Africa! Going forward, I'm determined to do what I can to conserve the natural beauty that God has gifted us with. I definitely would recommend to anyone that they experience a 2 week trip with Son Safaris at least once, and I will be supporting the ministry financially from here on out.
It was about 4 years ago when I met Fledge Fiamingo and what a privilege it is to know a man with such a passion for God's creation and the love for people, Fledge is loved by everyone wherever he goes.
I'm the Property Manager at The Fold Children's Home where Son Safaris is serving every year and I can say with honesty that its a real blessing to have Son Safaris here, they really do make a huge difference in all aspects whether it is assisting with projects or just playing with the children.
We just want to thank Son Safaris for everything they have done and still doing, we are looking forward to working with you in the future.
Our Highlight for the year is when Son Safaris come to visit.
Fledge came out to speak to our young people about Son Safaris. We held two sessions, one for our Elementary and Middle School ages and a second group that included High School and College age young adults. Fledge connected excellent with both groups! He captivated them and held their interest, now all my youth want to go on a Safari!!! The great this is how he connected what Son Safaris does with God's creations and tracking the Lion of Judah, Jesus!!!!
I had the privilege of meeting Grace Dore when she was a student of mine at Johnson University (Tennessee). Seeing her now, several years after graduating, fulfill a calling that was hard for her (and the rest of us!) to describe at that time is an awesome and inspiring example of personal vision, trust, and fortitude. The mission of Son Safaris is a hugely important--and unique--ministry in the grand scheme of God's economy. And I can't think of anyone better positioned or more passionate than Grace and Fledge (SS's Executive Director) to carry this work forward with excellence and integrity. In a brief presentation to a class of college students last spring, for example, Fledge connected God's gospel into and through the very fabric of creation and, in the process, offered to us a clear and compelling call to action. May SS's tribe increase!
As a campus minister who has known Son Safaris for quite some time, I am always delighted to work with Fledge and his ministry. He has taken the time to speak to our students on several occasions and his passion for the environment, humanitarian efforts, and his relationship with Jesus are always evident. I highly recommend taking a trip with Son Safaris. It will change your life.
Love this organization, and the heart behind it. Fledge is creative and relational in his message. He shares God's story, through the lens of creation. I would recommend this organization to anyone looking for missions, or a guest speaker!!!
I have personally Fledge for over 10 years and I am always blown away by the wonderful work that he does with Son Safaris. Fledge has a passion to serve the Lord and he does so in many different ways. I have had him out to speak to the kids in my children's ministry. He is always prepared and the kids love to hear from Mr. Fledge and his stories about the work he does in South Africa. I have seen Fledge serve and speak to kids, teens, adults at a variety of places like church, camps and at our local Upward Sports league here in Jefferson GA.
I had the pleasure of meeting Fledge 10 years ago at a service project to help a struggling family demo their mobile home so they could bring in something new. I've found out that day was not an outlier, but that serving is part of the DNA of Fledge and Son Safaris. Fledge continues to serve here and abroad and Son Safari's much the same in the states, in Africa, with wildlife they serve.
Fledge is a talented and passionate speaker and has spoken several times at our church to all different ages. I have also had several people from our church go on mission in Africa with Fledge and they come back sharing the life-changing impact Son Safaris is making! Great Organzation with a compassionate, visionary leader.
Son Safari's was very professional and courteous. Fledge did a wonderful job engaging our students and tying Biblical truths in with his life experience as a safari guide. I highly recommend him for your students!
Son Safaris has been invited to speak with the organization that I serve on 3 occasions. Our college students specifically asked for them to visit again. Fledge, Grace, and the team communicate well. As people of faith, they show great care and compassion for God's creation and how we may be excellent stewards of this. They are professional and engaging. I appreciate all they do and I strongly support their work!
I had Fledge speak at a recent event and he did a fantastic job. He is an enthusiastic speaker whose ability to hold the attention of his audience is rivaled only by his skill of delivering powerful stories that illustrate prominent principles. I highly endorse Fledge as a speaker for your event.
This mission trip with Son Safaris was the best 2 weeks I have ever had. This trip was such a great learning experience for me, not just about the wonderful animals I got to see but also with my faith. I grew in my faith so much on this trip that it made this experience so much more memorable. Fledge has an amazing ministry and I pray that many more people will get to embark on that journey to see God’s creation like I got the chance to. I would go back again in a heartbeat!
I went on a mission with Son Safaris in 2017 and came back on such a spiritual high that within a month my husband and I signed up for the 2018 mission trip. We came back from the 2018 trip completely disheartened. In a single year, Son Safaris went from an everyone-is-welcome serving ministry to more of a Christian-based young adult travel experience organization. My husband and I are in our mid-50’s. The rest of the mission team was made up of Generation Z (Gen Z) aged women. This, alone, is not a problem. However, Fledge’s (the mission director) staff (also Gen Z) regularly excluded us from team activities. This resulted in a clear division in the team, which was regularly encouraged by his staff.
We did see lots of wildlife and completed some service projects. But I felt nothing like I did after the 2017 trip. Fledge seems to thrive best when surrounded solely by Gen Z aged people that he can regale with stories of his former game ranger days but doesn’t relate as well to older adults. He also does not accept feedback well, and quickly became defensive when I expressed my concerns to him after returning from our trip. In the end, he chose to terminate any relationship between us and his organization.
I am happy I went to South Africa with Son Safaris in 2017 and I have no issue with them changing their target audience and corporate culture. But they should be clear who is welcomed on their mission trips and who is not. Had I been informed of these changes I would not have returned to South Africa with this organization. Son Safaris may be a good fit for anyone 18 to 24. Anyone older is likely to be disappointed.
If you would have asked me a year and a half ago I would have sworn up and down that I would never go to South Africa or out of the country for that matter but over the past couple of years I had friends that went with Fledge and there stories were just so amazing. I prayed about it a lot last summer before finally just throwing the towel in and committing to going. The fundraising process was really hard for me considering I am a very independent person and do not like to ask anyone for help but Fledge and Grace were always encouraging and told me what I needed to hear even if I didn't want to hear it. As soon as we got to the Reserve the day after landing I knew that I was meant to be there. I about jumped out of the van at the first sight of an animal. I enjoyed everything we did in the two weeks we were there. The main conservation project that we did was camera trapping in order to track the leopards and it was really cool to ride around the reserve and do that and be able to see how the data from that would help the species and the reserve in the long run. At the children's home we did a lot of different projects to improve the facility and were able to play with the kids and their smiles will melt your heart. My favorite thing out of all of it thought was cooking together as a team and sitting around a dinner table in the dark with people from all different countries and talking about God or singing camp fire songs. The trip changed my world view and it also taught me some new things about myself... Including getting over some lifetime fears.
Fledge is a dear friend of mine and I've gotten to know him through serving him coffee daily at Starbucks! I found out I was pregnant 4 weeks prior to the trip, and was scared to go. But Fledge and the team were the kindest, most accommodating people to me and made me feel at home! The trip was both informative and life-changing, and Fledge's love for God shines so brightly through his passion for God's creation. I would absolutely recommend anyone, with any setbacks, go with Fledge and his team.
Fledge is always a True professional but more than that, he's a true friend and a true disciple of God. I have been to South Africa with Son Safaris twice, now, and haven't had any issues. Son Safaris' website is an encyclopedia of information to help raise money, pack belongings, and prepare expectations. I will happily go with Son Safaris again at my next availability.
SonSafaris was by far the best decision I have made in a very long time. After going in this trip I truly feel like a changed person I feel better as a whole. The entire experience was very well organized and planned out. There was never once where there is any type of fumble or confusion. Our meals were all planned out to the T. And our schedules were very tightly organized to include a little bit of everything on a daily basis.
We were able to have such exclusive one-on-one time with the animals. We were able to go on many Safaris which was just a huge benefit to our overall goal. We got to have fun while working at the children's home. Every day was an adventure and we never had a down time. Each day we learn something new and two weeks went by far too quickly. I highly suggest this to anyone wanting to go on any type of mission trip because this is not strictly a religious trip you do a lot of humanitarian work and work with animals. And you get to stay on the animal reserve and wake up every morning to see zebras right out of your front door. Before I left I was nervous that I would feel unsafe but this entire trip I felt more safe there than I do at home.
Sons safari is a organisation run by the most loving people I have ever met. They live for the cause and it is so inspiring to be around them. The trip not only opens your perspective of South Africa and its people and nature, it also give you food for thought for personal development. I would recommend Son Safari to anyone who is committed or curious about Christ creation, South Africa or their own existing.
Going on Son Safaris was a unique and once in a life time experience. You not only learn about the needs of the locals, helping children's homes, but you are also taught about God's creation and the animals that are only in Africa. It truly opens your eyes to the wonders and needs of the world and you get the opportunity to partner with their mission and help in projects that last much longer than you. It is all about the big picture and giving the locals what they need, not what we think they need.
This was my first International trip and Fledge made it really easy by taking care of all of the travel arrangements and making sure we didn't have to worry about how we were getting anywhere!
Once in South Africa, I enjoyed the chance to participate in International community with people from around the world at the camp we stayed at, have conversations about my faith and see others talk to people about theirs, see prayers answered and meet inspirational people such as the leaders of The Fold Children's Home and the people who run Save the Waterberg Rhino.
I enjoyed my experience with Son Safari's and would recommend it to people interested in traveling abroad, living out their faith and helping others.
My experience with this ministry changed my life! The opportunity to serve my creator in South Africa is one that I'll never forget and one that everyone should experience. Fledge's love for God's creation is unparalleled and his passion for sharing it with other people is truly inspiring. South Africa and its people will always have a special place in my heart.
I really don't think I could write enough good things about Son Safaris. When I decided to join a team in late February of this year, I had no idea what an experience I was signing up for. Fledge Fiamingo, the trip's leader, was with me every step of the way as I prepared to go. He kept me updated with all the information I needed and was always ready to talk if I needed any support. He even talked to my parents, reassuring after I came home and declared that I wanted to go on a mission trip halfway around the world. Seeing the funds and plans for the trip come together was amazing, but it didn't even compare to what happened once I got to South Africa.
Seeing the team come together was simply unbelievable. Ten people from around the country, most of whom were complete strangers before meeting at the airport, all built great relationships on the common ground of their love for Jesus and their belief in service. Once that happened, everything else fell into place. Our work at the children's home was something that I'm honored to have been a part of. We came into that community and did some incredible things, including work as simple as playing with the children who live there and as large as building dozens of screened windows to keep bugs out of the home. I know that I left a big part of my heart with the children there. Just as amazing was the conservation work we got to participate in. By assisting with collaring antelope and microchipping a rhino, we got to be part of what will hopefully be a solution to poaching crisis in South Africa. Stewarding God's creation is an incredible part of mission work, and getting so close to some of the most awesome creatures in the world is something that I will never forget.
Going on this trip is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I learned so much about Christlike service, and I hope these lessons will continue to impact the way I live now that I'm back home, so that I might be a force for good in my own community. Honestly, it's not possible to have an experience like this and come back unchanged, and I just can't describe how glad I am that I went.
Going on this Son Safari mission trip was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It was a very eye opening, life changing, and incrediable experience! I loved every second of it! Fledge was an amazing leader who inspired everyone about God and his beautiful creation around us. When I first signed up I knew I was going to be able to see animals close up but I never imagined that I would be able to touch and hear a Rhinos heartbeat. We did this while helping with anti-poaching efforts. We also got to spend a lot of time at The Fold which is a children's home. I loved being able to play with and love on all the kids there and build mosquito windows for them. This mission trip is one that I hope everyone gets a chance to do. I know I will definitely be going again!
This trip was so eye opening and life changing! I spend three weeks with Son Safaris in the summer of 2017. From planning months in advance through the flight home everything went so smoothly. Fledge's passion for God's creation is so evident in everything that he does. He can make you so excited about the tiniest grass seed! Meeting the kids at the fold and being able to love and serve them is something that I hope everyone gets the chance to do. I came on this trip prepared to work and serve at the Fold, however, I didn't expect to get so many hands-on opportunities with the wildlife. Being able to help with a rhino anti-poaching team, as well as a game capture for collaring animals was a once in a life time experience. I gained so much knowledge and experience that are going to help me with school and ultimately my career. The best part was being able to do all these things with the same love and grace that Christ shows me every day.
Fledge was a fantastic choice for our group! He came and spoke at one of our club meetings at Lincoln memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine. He gave the perfect amount of the gospel and love for Jesus while still being considerate of those who didn't know Christ. Everyone mentioned how much they enjoyed having him come and how encouraging he was. A month later and people are STILL talking about him! You can't go wrong getting Fledge to come speak to your group!

I signed up for this trip somewhat reluctantly, but agreed because I was sure it was where God was calling me. I was nervous about the daunting task of raising the money, but I haven't regretted it for a second and would LOVE to go back. It was so incredible to see God's provision at work through the generosity of the
body during the fundraising process and Fledge constantly made himself available to answer questions and encourage. He is a gifted leader with a heart and passion for sharing the true wonder of God's creation and he genuinely loves people with the love of Christ. I have never been so completely overwhelmed with the delight of God's majesty as I was on safari, nor more excited to be His hands and feet than I was working at The Fold (a children's home we partnered with). I could go on, but suffice it to say that this was a life changing experience and Son Safaris is doing fantastic work for the kingdom! They are worth every second of time, every moment of prayer, and every cent you can spare. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is ready for God to rock their socks ❤️❤️
What an amazing, life-changing trip! Fledge is a great leader who helps you through the fund-raising process. We got to work with 3 fantastic organizations to spread the love of Jesus, build relationships, provide help, and have a little fun along the way. I highly recommend going on a trip with this organization!
Son Safaris is a Christ-centered mission where you get to not only experience the amazing wildlife in South Africa by staying on a reserve but you get to witness the love for the children that the people have who run The Fold and Bushveld children's homes. By volunteering with Son Safaris, you get to work for 2 amazing children homes by either teaching or playing with the children. I'm an avid biker so I got to ride bikes with the children and it was awesome seeing the joy that was brought to these children by just playing with them! We also built bunkbeds for their rooms and did some clean-up work on the premises for both children's homes.
Not only did we volunteer at the children's homes but we also did work on the reserve itself. The reserve is trying to implement a vermaculture (work compost) area so we helped with that project also.
What makes Son Safaris uniquely different from other missions is that it is a "thinking outside of the box" mission where you get to stay on a reserve, so you get to go on game drives with the rangers. Fledge Fiamingo, the heart and brains behind Son Safaris, used to be a safaris ranger in South Africa before moving to America. Fledge has a very special relationship with the reserve and the people on the reserve where you stay so immediately you feel right at home. He uses his love of Christ and his love of being a safari ranger and combines them into an amazing experience where you serve others and experience God's creation in South Africa.
I would definitely recommend Son Safaris to anyone looking to volunteer for a non-profit.
Fledge has spoken at two of our Fall Retreats and he does not disappoint! The students loved his stories of his encounters with exotic animals. I loved how he used those stories to proclaim biblical truth.
God did it again, this time getting His word out to us in sin city - Las Vegas. Thanks Fledge for speaking on His behalf. GSCO Ovis Convention - Henry McNatt
Fledge is an awesome man of God working for God's glory. Fledge brought a powerful message and was submissive to the Holy Spirit who worked through him. Fledge's expertise in the field of study allowed him to capture the attention of all audiences and draw them into the scripture that did the work in lives. I am looking forward to working with Fledge and Son Safaris again in the future.
It was a privilege to have Fledge from Son Safaris present and interact with our church. We used Fledge to speak at a Men's Retreat with 4 sessions, and he did a great job connecting in and out of sessions with our men and giving unique and dynamic presentations. During the same weekend, Fledge spoke during our 3 weekend services and the congregation loved his Lions vs. Hyenas sermon. He was approachable, professional, and relatable. He also spoke a relevant message to our youth. This man can taylor his message to a wide variety of audiences. Also, I appreciated Fledge explaining his mission but not being pushy. He is defiantly someone that you want to get on board with and we are planning on having him back in the future. Highly Recommend.
Fledge Fiamingo of Son Safaris is a master and South Africa was incredible. This was my first international mission trip (first time on a plane, actually). I could not have imagined going with a better leader. Not once on this trip did I, or any of my teammates, feel unsafe or unclear of our expectations. Being neglected, or misinformed just isn’t part of the equation with Son Safaris. We worked hard, but all of this work was for beautiful, Christ-centered purposes. Our work included conservation projects at our reserve camp, visiting children's homes to spend time with the kids, and building a home for a children's home staff member. There's plenty of manual labor, but there's work for everybody of all skill levels and interests. Equally part of the trip, as the Safari in Son Safaris suggests, was taking game drives on the reserve, observing so much of the wonder God has created and animals I did not even know existed. As a college student who has had very little mission experience, I had a great feeling about traveling with Fledge from the beginning, and that was not in vain. His ability to keep us encouraged and informed is second to none. I gained perspective on this trip that will guide me for the rest of my life. Seeing God’s love halfway around the world in the faces of people in heart breaking conditions will change you. If you, or a child are considering international missions, do yourself a favor and give Son Safaris a serious look.
I have traveled to Africa with Fledge through Son Safaris not once but twice to serve the people there. Both trips were unique, uplifting, and as safe as any mission trip that I have been on! I have been on multiple mission trips besides these with several different mission organizations and Son Safaris by far ranks at the top of my list! Son Safaris is a very professional mission organization that allows you to experience local culture, work to conserve the environment, and most importantly share the love of Christ with the local people.
I will use no other organization than Son Safaris as my avenue to serve in South Africa. I will definitely be returning with Son Safaris in the near future. As a Resident Director for Johnson University I plan to encourage my students to serve in South Africa with me through this great mission of Son Safaris. I also have children of my own and hope that the opportunity will present itself for us as a family to serve through Son Safaris.
She came back a different person.
I have known Fledge for over 10 years. His work with Son Safaris changes lives. I know because my daughter recently traveled to South Africa with a team of college students. She came back a different person. For parents who may be hesitant to allow their kids to go to South Africa with Fledge, you have nothing to worry about. Fledge's experience, leadership skills, and common sense is exemplary. I would not allow my daughter to go on the trip if I did not have complete confidence in Fledge. My prayer each day she was gone was that God would use her and the team to reach others. That is exactly what happened. It was inspiring to see how God work in raising the funds to go to South Africa, and in using Gracie and the rest of the team as they served the people there.
I have heard Fledge several times, and I always learn from his lessons. I am a huddle leader for Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Apalachee High School, and Fledge brought his message during a special event for us. The students were engaged in his lesson and loved his presentation of God creating the animals and His way of creating each of us. I have witnessed him speak to young children, teens and adults- he always adapts his lesson based on the age of the audience. Fledge is amazing!
Tonya Crowe - Apalachee High FCA
A one-of-a-kind, unashamedly God-sized mission. I can't say enough about Fledge & Son Safaris. What a blessing and a pleasure to know this man and His dream first-hand. Don't pass up the opportunity to have Fledge come speak at one of your events, camps, retreats, etc.
Darrell Asche - Youth Minister Elberton Christian
We have used Fledge to speak to our Student Ministry on multiple occasions. He is entertaining, informative, and deeply challenging. Not only are his presentations incredible, but his commitment towards taking students deeper and getting to know them on a personal level go above and beyond the "call of duty." You can't go wrong with Fledge or Son Safaris!
Adam Scott - Youth Minister Antioch Christian
We have had Fledge come and speak twice at our Men's Wild Game Feast, we cannot say enough about his ability to hold the audiences attention, his passion for people, and most importantly his love for the Lord!
Kasey Kuyper-Senior Pastor Pleasant Hill Christian Church
Powerful and inspiring multi-media presentations that incorporate African safari ranger Fledge Fiamingo's fascinating experiences and extensive knowledge of wildlife make Son Safaris a must have program for your classroom at school, church, college, or really any group.
Fledge has been our Winter Retreat speaker twice for our college ministry at Penn State. No one does a better job of revealing God's truth through creation. Fledge's experience as a former Safari ranger and campus minister allow him to engage audiences of any level with his story telling and preaching. You'll be hard pressed to find a more passionate speaker for a retreat, week of camp, or conference!
The Outdoors Network International's relationship with Fledge Fiamingo at Son Safaris now spans several years. I have had the privilege of serving with him on a wounded veterans hunt in New Mexico as well as ministering with him in South Africa and Botswana. He has also been a keynote speaker for our organization on numerous occasions where he shares the correlation between creation and God’s word. Most recently he has served in the capacity of EmCee for several of our national events. His faith in God, contagious energy, and love for people welcomes listeners in as he shares stories from his South African heritage and days as a safari ranger. I would highly recommend him as a friend and fellow servant of Jesus Christ. His personality will connect with people from all walks of life and all age groups."
I have known the founder/director of Son Safaris for 10 years. Since the very beginning of our friendship, I have seen a passion for this ministry unlike anything I have ever seen. Fledge does an incredible job of bringing the majestic land of Africa, a place where most people can only imagine, to life. Through his stories, pictures, and experiences, you really feel like you are there. Now take all of that, and throw in the word of God, and you have one of the most unique and memorable messages you have ever heard. Fledges passion for Son Safaris stems solely from his passion for Jesus Christ. He wants everyone to know Christ, and he does an amazing job at using his experiences to share this message with anyone and everyone. There really isn't a better resource to tap into that your own life experiences, and that is exactly what Fledge does. I have had the honor of seeing Son Safaris from the very beginning. What was once in a tiny room under the stairs in a garage, has now exploded and is now international. God is doing incredible things through Son Safaris, and it is amazing to see. I would recommend this unique ministry to anyone.
Son Safaris is an amazing organization doing great works! The Founder/Director, Fledge, is incredibly passionate about his work and his faith. This organization is doing great things to help South Africa along with sharing the wonderful news of Jesus Christ. Those working hard alongside Fledge are able to experience first-hand the value of giving back and helping those in need. I cannot say enough good things about this organization and would urge anyone looking to get involved with a nonprofit that is truly making a difference to choose Son Safaris.
Son Safaris is one of the most unique Christian ministries/ non profit organizations out there today. Director Fledge Fiamingo is skilled at creating metaphors and parallels between nature and biblical truths. If you are looking to share the love of Christ through missions, Son Safaris is absolutely a great choice.
Son Safaris does fantastic work! The work they do in South Africa greatly benefits those they encounter. It also benefits the people that go on their trips. As a campus minister, I have been thrilled to see the transformation in my students that have gone with Fledge to South Africa. They come back more aware of the world around them and hungry to serve God by loving the people they encounter.
Additionally, Fledge is a dynamic speaker. He led a weekend retreat for our ministry. His multi-media presentation, application of safari life to our spiritual life, and amazing stories from his time in South Africa captivated my students. If you are looking for a retreat speaker, look no further than Fledge.
Doing great things for ALL of God's creation. Highly recommend taking the leap to serve with Fledge in South Africa.
I have had the pleasure over the past six years of Son Safaris donating their time, money and expertise to help conservation and under privileged people from all walks of life. Son Safaris teams lead by Fledge Fiamingo have helped many people to understand what amazing people with or without money can do when they are dedicated and passionate. Fledge and his teams who have visited our operations in both Botswana and South Africa, have given us all a new perspective on life and have show that there are such amazing, caring people out there in the world. No matter where I work, I will also endeavor to get Son Safaris to follow me to my new place of work, they bring such an amazing opportunity for our organisations to help and assist local underprivileged communities through hard work, passion and love... Son Safaris missions to Africa are a life changing experience for everyone involved and would certainly be a memory that the volunteer on the mission and everyone they meet and help will never forget. Fledge you and your mission teams have changed the lives of so many people, never stop.
I had the pleasure of being a member of a mission team this past summer. 2 weeks in South Africa, what an amazing trip! We did so many different things, and all the people on our team found roles in which their talents really shined. I really hope I get the chance to go on a mission with them again sometime soon.
Recently Son Safaris brought a group of college students to our children's home. They spent 5 days doing back breaking labor and playing with our children. They were an awesome group of people, who loved on our children and worked hard on some projects we needed done. We would welcome this organization any time in the future.
I just came back from a trip with Son Safaris. This is an amazing Christian non-profit. We as team members had the unique opportunity to work on conservation projects on a game reserve as well as help at children's homes. We were able to show Christ's love in so many unique ways. Fledge is so good at making you feel safe and as prepared as possible. I loved every minute of it and can't wait to go back.
Son Safaris began as a dream in Fledge Fiamingo's heart in 2003 and became a non-profit corporation in 2009. We provide inspiration and encouragement through multimedia presentations conducted by former South African Park Ranger Fledge Fiamingo. But this is just the tip of the iceberg of what Son Safaris' is all about! Knowing first hand the plight of many in Africa Fledge plans to provide for their needs in a unique way: leading safaris coupled with mission and humanitarian work in a local village. The goal is to establish a lodge where locals can work and from which those who come for safaris will also work with the locals on alleviating problems of poverty of body and spirit.
