Causes: Health
Mission: The SON Foundation provides temporary housing for cancer patients & family members/caregivers of patients in downtown Indianapolis. Our mission is to help relieve the financial burden associated with such housing, regardless of religious affiliation, thereby enabling our guests to focus on physical and emotional healing.
Target demographics: cancer patients and their families traveling from out of town for treatment.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 342 cancer patients and/or family members, with almost 1100 nights of lodging provided.
Geographic areas served: Indianapolis, IN
Programs: We have served over 2,000 guests by providing over 5,000 nights of free lodging since august of 2014, when the doors officially opened to guests.
