Causes: Environment, Natural Resources Conservation & Protection
Mission: To identify and facilitate the implementation of integrated policies, practices and projects at a landscape scale that will result in land being sustainably managed to produce food, feed, fiber and energy while enhancing biodiversity, protecting and improving critical environmental resources and delivering high value solutions to combat climate change.
Programs: The ohio smart agriculture initiative will identify and implement pragmatic, proven, and innovative solutions to challenges confronting ohio farmers in the face of environmental uncertainty and in support of a food system that benefits producers, the public, and the planet.
25x25 is a rallying cry for renewable energy and a goal for america - to get 25 percent of our energy from renewable resources like wind, solar, and biofuels by the year 2025. Increasing americas renewable energy use will bring new technologies to market and save consumers money, reduce our dependence on oil from the middle east, create new jobs in rural america, and clean up the air and help reduce urban smog and greenhouse gas emissions.
