Mission: Offering hope, healthier lives, and freedom from foot related diseases through
Programs: Our 2014 activities in uganda: sole hope worked with 114 clinics to have 68,898 jiggers removed and 15,966 feet washed. We provided 10,956 pairs of shoes to ugandan people. Jiggers are small sand fleas that burrow into the bare feet of thousands of ugandan children who often live their lives without adequate footwear. Along with a misconception about the cause of jiggers, the result is infection, gangrene, paralysis, and occasionally amputation and even death. Through medical and education initiatives as well as training in the art of shoemaking, sole hope is restoring hope to children and adults both physically and spiritually.
