Founded in 1950, SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career for women through an exciting array of training and development programs, networking opportunities, scholarships, outreach and advocacy activities.

Very focused on corporations rather than volunteers and membership. Their HQ team is beyond aweful. Their HQ staff are often condecending to members, focused glorifying themselves, and not in touch with uplifitng volunteers and membership. It's all about awards, PR, and expansion. If they fired the staff and replaced the Board with people with more experience they would be much better for it.

SWE has been an awesome organization that has supported me through troubles in my career, helped me land multiple internships, and helped develop my leadership and communications skills.
