Mission: To lead women and men to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to the needy and suffering regardless of creed, ethnic, or religious background, providing various types of assistance, including food, clothing, home furnishings, household goods, financial assistance, visits to homes, prison, hospitals and eldercare, and legal, medical, dental services.
Programs: Svdp volunteer members provided individuals with 80,528 in food and miscellaneous items of 2,180 (totaling 82,708) . Svdp conferences help protect the poor and those struggling byproviding for their basic needs and giving them hope. Donations are primiarily in-kind donations (from non-cash contributions)received from food drives and garage sales held by churches, post office, businesses, and civic organizations.
about 78,197 in cash financial assistance, primarily past due rent and cost of moving in, as well as past due electric and water bills. Most of the svdp ministries are designed and aimed at homeless prevention while providing struggling individuals and families with hope for the future. The only requirement to receive assistance beside proof of need is residency in charlotte county.
