St Vincent de Paul, Sacred Heart is a wonderful organization, one of 4 in Charlotte County. They are the largest with over 100+ members......and very busy at that. They have wonderful volunteers and do so much for Charlotte County. They have a jail ministry, they also help almost 200-300 a week with food and utilities (sometimes more). The list is endless of what they have achieved. I am on the District Council Board of Charlotte County for SVDP and Secretary on the Diocesan Board. I am President of St Charles Borromeo's Conference of SVDP. I have been very active for almost 11 years. I love what we stand for as a group! We work together as a team to achieve the most we can for all of Charlotte Counties less fortunate families and homeless Men, Women and Children.

Mission: The society of st. Vincent de paul's mission is "to provide its members with the opportunity for spiritual growth, fellowship, and the opportunity to serve people in need. "
Target demographics: those in need of assistance
Direct beneficiaries per year: 5 students to complete their education; 1,021 households with financial assistance; and food sufficient to feed 22,700 people for 7-10 days.
Geographic areas served: Punta Gorda, FL and Charlotte County
Programs: offer tangible assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis. This aid may take the form of intervention, consultation, or often through direct dollar or in-kind assistance. The essential precept of the society's work is to provide help while conscientiously maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of those who are served.
