I have volunteered with this nonprofit for nearly three years and continue to be amazed by the level of commitment and professionalism I encounter each day. The welfare of the animals remains the number one concern for all—staff and volunteers. I witness such love for the dogs and cats at the shelter. No matter how long it takes to find each one the perfect home, the SPCA remains focused and patient.

I have volunteered my time and services to the SPCA for over a year now and continue to be impressed with the dedication and professionalism of its staff and fellow volunteers. The animals in their care get the best medical treatment and behavioral support possible. This is a no-frills operation--the money goes to the animals and their welfare. The mission is clear--make these animals ready for and available to loving homes as quickly as possible.
As a volunteer for many years, with much hands on experience, the care that is given by employees and volunteers is extraordinary. They give the best medical care for all cats, dogs and all animals. The care, compassion, love, expertise of these employees and volunteers are enhanced by their passion to make a homeless animals life better if not extraordinary by placing the animal in a suitable home. Overall, I have witnessed and participated in socialization, care, training of many dogs and always consider this to be a honor to part of such a fine organiztion, built on compassion, love and integrity! Many kudos to the AASPCA!! I will always donate my time and money to this fine organization - its the least i can do - considering they are making heart breaking situations into dreams come true for all the animals in their care!
With a program expense of 76.3%, the conditions of the shelter are extremely poor. The animals at this shelter are clearly stressed. I saw multiple cats with mucus coming out of their eyes and nose. The staff and/or volunteers never recognized my presence when I was interested in adopting. Based upon this experience, I question if Sue Beatty or Fred Graul provide any managerial or leadership to the clearly inept staff.
I no longer plan to donate to this shelter anymore. I'm giving my hard earned money to a more worthy nonprofit animal related organization.
