I have fostered and then adopted two dogs from SARA. They were both taken in by SARA in September 2009 in horrible shape: heartworm-positive, bald from mange, had a flea/tick infestation, malnourished and very physically abused. SARA treated them for mange, got rid of the ticks, and started rehabilitating them. By the time i took them on as fosters in January, they had both put on a great deal of weight and were well on the road to recovery. The work they do there is never-ending and the results are truly beautiful. Best 2 dogs I've ever been gifted to have. Great job for all the tireless work Tracy Frank and the volunteers put into the sanctuary!
