Mission: Our mission is to turn protest into progress. A network of organizers, lawyers, legislators, and artists work together to improve the social reality of communities of color, to support and defend impoverished and divested households, and to uplift transformational institutions through strategic partnerships. Throughout our 6 years, we have been able to provide legal assistance to those in need and pass comprehensive legislative reform through our main initiative, The Liberty Project. We also put on a yearly film festival which illuminates issues involving marginalized people
Results: Just last year we were able to pass 6 bills through legislation. We are extremely proud of this but we continue to work towards more change.
Target demographics: disenfranchized people, minorities, low-income people, economically disadavantaged people, formerly incarcerated and incarcerated people
