My husband and I met Dr. Rodney in San Francisco when he gave us a behind-the-scenes tour of the big cats at the SF Zoo. There was a beautiful snow leopard there and we fell in love with her. We are so appreciative of all that Dr. Rodney and the whole staff are doing to protect these beautiful creatures. We must all do all we can to help them and others who are working so hard to save them.

The small staff of the Snow Leopard Conservancy are amazing in their scientific knowledge, social and cultural awareness and sensitivity, and ability to stretch their donor's money to the most benefit in the home range of the snow leopard. They are the highest authority in snow leopard conservation and are tireless in working for the preservation of their cause.

The Snow Leopard Conservancy is a remarkable dedicated team, headed by Rodney Jackson and Darla Hillard. Jackson has been one the foremost wildlife biologists in the field -studying this beautiful- and endangered mountain cat for over 30 years. SNC has been innovative in organizing community based conservation strategies in remote areas where snow leopards live - Northern India, Mongolia, Nepal, among the countries that support snow leopard habitat. SLC is a non-profit that has a rare combination of heart and commitment. Their website highlights the kind of studies and projects they do; as well as offering incredible images of wild snow leopards. I myself have benefited directly - seeing two snow leopards in Ladakh India in areas that are part of their community based programs of homestay and livestock corral protection.
