Mission: Fostering individual and communal well-being through anti-oppressive and trauma-informed music therapy.
Results: Since introducing music therapy in the Pacific Northwest Region in 2015, the Music Project has engaged 10,299 individuals in individual and community-based music therapy programs. Of clients served in 2020, and in response to COVID-19, 98% received services at no-cost. In Fiscal Year 2019-20, the Music Project engaged: - 1,366 children ages 0-5 years, - 1,241 school-age children and youth, - 155 different families, - 1,238 developmentally disabled young people, veterans, neurodivergent adults, and seniors.
Target demographics: People of all ages and abilities.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 4000 individuals and 15 organizations.
Geographic areas served: Snohomish County, WA
Programs: Clinical music therapy sessions for marginalized community members who are facing the compound impacts of social isolation, disruptions in routine, physical health concerns, lack of income, lack of access to typical coping resources, and community-wide anxiety related to the COVID pandemic.
