This nonprofit health and eye clinic is simply amazing. The staff is professional, courteous, and compassionate to all the patients both English and Spanish speaking. This clinic is Heaven sent and the answer to our communities continued prayers. Let us continue to pray and keep supporting this great Health & Eye Clinic that is making a powerful impact in our community.
This is an amazing nonprofit, and a wonderful story. I was hired to do a short promo for them, began interviewing founders, staff, and patients, and was totally blown away by their sheer goodness - and the wonderful service they do - providing health care to those without insurance. In this country, that is an unacceptable number of people whose very lives are threatened due to lack of access to health care. (The film, aptly titled, is called "LifeSaver".)
I was so struck by the power of Noor, that I joined the Board, and the little 5 minute film turned into a 45 minute documentary. Give the film a look. It. It is a heartwarming story that epitomizes what non-profits do - "Good People Doing Good Things".
More clinics should make an example out of SLONoor. Through their clinic, Noor is able to offer stellar services and treatment to a demographic who otherwise would be left to suffer the insurmountable pile of medical bills. No one should have to make the decision on whether their paycheck goes towards rent or medical treatment. This clinic saves lives and brings hope to many who are hopeless until they walk through the doors and realize that there are people who care, and they are voices are being heard. This clinic runs on donations from the community and through incredible volunteer support.
Our experience with the Noor Clinic was amazing. The staff was very professional , courteous and treated the patients with lots of copationate care. The Doctors were very patient and very detail oriented. The truely demonstrated that they really did care about what the patients were going through. We are truely thankful and very blessed to have the Noor Clinic in our community.
I volunteer at the Noor Medical and Vision clinic 4 times a week and each and every day, I am amazed by the sincerity and love that comes from the volunteer providers. Their graciousness and attention to detail allows our patients to leave feeling seen and more confident about what's going on with their health. The staff is so sweet and so willing to answer any and all questions I have when I am volunteering. Overall, I love everything that this organization stands for and is doing for our community.
SLO Noor provides an incredible service to our community. Those without insurance can get free medical, vision and dental care. The staff and volunteers are exceptional as shown by the very grateful patients who have used the services provided. Take a look at the documentary film "Lifesaver" for a more detailed information. The Noor website has a link to the film and other great clips showing patients being served. This link is here: https://slonoorfoundation.org/
Take a look and please help support this fantastic non-profit.
I have been a volunteer for SLO Noor since 2015. The staff is an amazing group of caring people who give quality health care to those adults in our community who have no health insurance. Many of the people that the health clinic sees have found themselves in the emergency room because they have no where else to go. SLO Noor helps these people manage their diabetes, hypertension, receive lab tests to determine their needs and so many other conditions. Almost all of our doctors, nurse practitioners, physicians assistants are volunteers. This non profit saves peoples lives. Our Eye Clinic provides not only eye exams but free glasses for those who can't afford them. Our Dental Clinic gives quality dental care for those in need. An amazing organization free for our patients but not without costs to our organization. We require donations and grants to keep our doors open.
SLO Noor Foundation fulfills a need in San Luis Obispo County by providing healthcare to adults that lack medical insurance. Providing care, by offering medical, vision and dental services. All care is provided free of charge and provided by a mostly volunteer staff. This is a much needed service in the county.
NOOR reaches people who have no access to medical care, providing critical services to people in need. NOOR offers culturally competent and high quality care. Many people in our region have no insurance and would otherwise have no access to diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular disease screening, prevention, and treatment services. This is a simply an outstanding non-profit.
