Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Human Services
Mission: Skiduck is an entirely volunteer based organization that provides free ski and snowboard programs to financially disadvantaged and at risk youth, including lessons equipment, transportation, clothing, gear and meals as needed.
Programs: In the 2016/17 ski season skiduck provided approximately 1,000 youth with over 1,500 free ski and snowboard visits, including lift tickets, rentals and lessons. With the support of dozens of volunteers and chaperons from approx 20 youth groups (nearly 400 adult volunteer days total in 2016/17), skiduck ensures the youth are properly clothed and supervised to have a great first-day learning in the mountain, and that they'll want to return for many more skiduck trips in the months and years ahead.
