Causes: Sports
Mission: We are a 501(c)(3) approved organization which aims to introduce sports to young children. Due to poverty, many children never get a chance to participate in sports. One of the many things we do is to provide free athletic wear and equipment to underprivileged children and youth. We also have gently used athletic gear like soccer balls, bags, socks etc. We have donations from school teams and hence are able to provide gear to an entire team if needed. The other main thing that we spend our time is to organize free introductory basketball and soccer camps for children. Some of our volunteers come from privileged backgrounds and it was a small introductory camp in school that got them passionate about what they are currently pursuing as a sport. We believe, irrespective of one’s background or current life situation, an introduction is all that is needed to be introduced to an exciting world of sports. Playing organized sports in uniform enhances one’s self-esteem and is very important during the early years of any child. So if your school or daycare or church or place of worship is looking to have us hold an introductory clinic, we would be very happy to do so. We accept donations for all over the US and are open to monetary donations as well. These donations go towards teams needing money for travel costs etc. After outgrowing their athletic gear, many children put aside their gear and store it in their house. Instead of storing away the gear, please encourage your child to donate it and it can be used to help the underprivileged children get a chance to play the sport they love
