Mission: For twenty years Sitar Arts Center has served families in Ward 1 and throughout Washington, DC who have unequal access to quality arts education and enriching out-of-school-time opportunities. We never turn anyone away for inability to pay and ensure that 80% of our student body is from families with low-income. Your support will provide DC’s children with opportunities to develop their talents, reach for the stars, and become who they are meant to be.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 900 students, ages infant to adulthood, 80% of whom are from a family with low-income and 85% of whom are Black or Latinx
