Additional services include representative payee and tax preparation for low to moderate income people at no cost to them. The objective for dear neighbor ministries is to walk with those in need to find resources and develop individual skills in order to provide more long term services to families who are working their way out of poverty. A 15 week getting ahead in a just getting by world class is offered twice a year to help families move out of poverty one at a time. Dear neighbor ministries has also increased focus on the work with neighborhood children: weekly activities at the lord's diner food truck which comes to hilltop daily and initiating a 4h spin club which provides new experiences that would otherwise not be available. I highly recommend giving to Sisters of St. Joseph Dear Neighbor Ministries. I have donated to this organization since 2004, and it has always been a rewarding experience for me to see the money go to great use directly in the community. This group of ladies believes in the mission of helping others, and in so doing, achieving closeness with Christ. I only heard of the organization because I lived for three years in Missouri; I am from Mississippi and have lived in the South most of my life. I give to them as often as I possibly can, and never have regretted it or questioned the use of the money. A great group of ladies and a wonderful, honestly run organization. Your money will not go to a CEO, but directly to the needs of the community and ministry.
