Mission: The mission of the w. H. Lyon fairground is to be a fun, hands-on agricultural, educational institution that reflects, supports, uplifts and entertains the sioux empire.
Programs: The association conducts the sioux empire fair, which is the largest fair in the state of south dakota. The 78th annual fair was attended by approx. 298,598 people during its ten day run.
the association facilitates the use of the w. H. Lyon fairground for use by the general public on a year-round basis. Over the year it is estimated 582,000 people used the fairgrounds.
