Mission: SAFF strives to ensure that abused, neglected or otherwise dependant children throughout the State of Nevada receive quality foster care by providing foster families with the information, tools and resources to provide the best possible care for the children entrusted to them.
Programs: Respite care funding of $420 per year allow foster parents to take much needed breaks from the demands of providing foster care. The Activity Fund reimburses up to $200 per child per year for sports, educational or other self-esteem building activities for children in care. Foster parent advanced trainings are offered monthly providing topical information for specific issues related to children in foster care. Birthday Closet, Educational Advocacy, Legal Advocacy, Conflict Mediation, Lifebooks For Ecery Child Project, Ragional Child Welfare Conference, Support Groups, Mentoring, INformation and Referrals, Holiday supports, recruitment and retention activities
