Mission: To promote and support independent filmakers through sponsoring the "sidewalk moving picture festival", to educate the local community in visual arts, and to stimulate the rebirth of birmingham's theatre district.
Programs: Alabama moving image association produces the antionally recognized sidewalk film festival, the shout lgbtq film festival; hosts the sidewrite screenplay writing competition, and teen filmmaking challenge; organizes quarterly filmmaking competitions and monthly events for filmmakers, and holds other events that create interest in and enthusiasm for independent film.
