Mission: Last summer, Americans witnessed the ravages of a ten-year ethnic cleansing campaign in Kosovo. The nightly news broadcast heart-rending pictures of ethnic Albanian refugee camps, burned out homes, prisoners of war, mourning women, and traumatized children. With your help, an estimated 1,500 children will benefit from the Kosovo Children’s Initiative program, ran by the Shropshire Music Foundation, each year. Your tax-exempt donation will go directly to better the lives of children in Kosovo, buying instruments, and supporting classes and musical instruction. Children will be given their own instruments and encouraged to develop talents, self-esteem, self-respect, and discipline. In musical education and performance they will experience something rare in Kosovo: a space where hope is fostered, and possibilities are endless.
