Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Human Services
Mission: Shining Hope Farms is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to enable children and adults with disabilities to achieve functional goals through the use of equine assisted activities and Hippotherapy.
Results: We have helped hundreds of children over the past decade plus in our Hippotherapy and Therapeutic Riding Programs to achieve a better quality of life through our unique form of rehabilitation in ways that strictly clinic based therapies were unable to. We repeatedly hear from families how we helped their child to get over a hurdle they hadn’t been able to and that they are excited to come to therapy, in fact, that it’s the highlight of their often difficult week. Countless children achieved their goals in our programs, many of whom moved on, making way for new children to follow in their footsteps.
