Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Education, Scholarships, Scholarships & Student Financial Aid
Mission: To provide scholarship support to eligible guilford county school graduates. The board develops policies for the scholarship program and works with fundraising efforts to create endowments in the local community foundations to support the annual payment requirements. The scholarship program is coordinated with the local say yes guilford operating committee's programs and with the national say yes to education scholarship office.
Programs: 2361 awards were made during 2017, totaling approximately $3. 5 million. Students matriculated in the 16 university of north carolina constituent institutions; 16 north carolina community colleges; and 28 private institutions that are members ot the national say yes to education college compact.
