Mission: To grow disciples of jesus christ by ministering to and serving those in need while sharing gods hope, faith, and love, bringing them to a place of restoration and empowering them to become productive members of our society.
Programs: Mens long-term discipleship & habilitation program is a free, residential in-house, nine month to two-year six-phase program. We have 30 residents in our program from the ages of 18 to 80. Life controlling issues dealt with may include financial, legal, addiction, physical, and mental health issues. Program classes are taught by staff, volunteers, trained professionals, pastors and educators that include addiction recovery, anger management, dbt, reality therapy & choice theory, relapse prevention, bible study, and outdoor activities. Residents participate in outside recovery meetings, church, and community service projects. Each resident has a mentor from the community and an in-house discipleship partner. Our men have the opportunity to work on completing geds, go to college, or train for jobs as they move through the phases. In-house, they perform the duties of caring for their home including, cooking, cleaning, general maintenance of the house, and vehicles, assist with homeless services, and monitor security. Shm provides food, clothing and shelter for each participant during their program and as the re-integrate into the community.

bend emergency shelter is open year round in a permanent location. We provide 30,000 meals a year for men, women and children, 12,000 nights of stay for men. 3,000 showers and about 20,000 pieces of clothing, hygiene items, sleeping bags, backpacks, and tents when available for both men and women. The womens cold weather shelter (serving only women), sisters cold weather shelter (serving men, women and children), and the redmond cold weather shelters (serving men, women and children) are open on the coldest nights of the year from november through march. Shelter locations are provided by local churches. In addition to a warm place to sleep, meals, bedding, clean clothing, and toiletries are provided. Showers are provided in some locations. Assistance and information is provided in order to help guests find housing, locate services, and re-connect with family.
