I've known the founders of this organization for years. They have a true passion for the disabled, and provide meaningful advocacy work. Their mission and outcomes are personal and heart felt.
The Sheperd’s Lodge is a great nonprofit that strives to center their clients in everything they do. I volunteered with several of their summer camps. They gave a great variety of interactive activities that taught their clients vocational skills, such as facilitating equine therapy, having a local robotics club interact with them or providing experiences with a local hydroponics farmer who does demos of small-scale experience with farming. Not only do they aim to give a variety of experience to their clients but the nonprofit are full of positive people who are wonderful to work with.
