Joe-Laurie S. Donor

As a long-time donor and supporter I was shocked to find this organization is a one woman show. She enriches herself off the suffering of dogs by using psychological manipulation. My eyes were opened when she share more and more lies over the course of a week. The 990s do not lie. I understand not everyone knows about accounting but there are several good breakdowns on reddit. Further, she has admitted several times, there is no board, never has been. She sits on a nest egg while not providing funding or care to the foster dogs in her rescue. Do not donate to this rescue!

As a former foster and an adoptive mom of dogs associated with this organization, I feel I can voice my opinions. The person who seems to be in sole control of the funding is grossly misusing it. Expensive trips, expensive AirBnbs, expensive hotels, all in the name of saving dogs. Anyone who questions her is dubbed a liar and blocked. Go to Reddit and search this organization before you donate. If she is ever taken out of control, then I would donate. She is mismanaging funds meant to save dogs. Shame on her. Do your research.

As a former adopter and now volunteer with a Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue, this rescue does great work rescuing German Shepherds and other dogs from high kills shelters and off the streets of Texas. They fully vet their dogs and bring them to the east coast or other areas of the country where dogs are in high demand and they become more adoptable. In 5 years they’ve rescued over 2500 dogs and counting. The rescue is 100% volunteer run and foster based. They take the hardest of medical cases and put their hearts into rehabilitating them. 100% encourage supporting the rescue through donation, adoption, fostering or volunteering.
