Mission: The shelter of hope's mission is to provide temporary , emergency shelter and food for veterans , families and individuals who are homeless or at risk of being homeless in boyd and greenup county.
Programs: The shelter of hope provides the following services for individuals, families and veterans who are homeless or at risk of being homeless: short-term temporary emergency housing ( 10 fully-furnished apartments) residents receive assistance from an in-house pantry, household furnishings, personal hygieneitems and cleaning supplies tbra (tenant based rental assistance) supplements an individual's rent ( up to a maximum of two years) until their section 8 (hud) vouchers are approved rapid re-housing - assists defined homeless individuals and families to locate housing and deposit assistance, if needed prevention program - assists at-risk individuals with casework, housing referrals and other financial assistance as needed collaboration/referrals with other social agencies
