Causes: Cancer
Mission: To provide support to cancer victims. This support is primarily provided in two ways: 1) distribution of financial "gestures" to assist with the financial burden of a cancer diagnosis and 2) offering of healthy and active-living activities (survive, thrive & be fit) to encourage patients and survivors to live more fully following a cancer diagnosis.
Programs: Financial gestures:scccf offers "gestures" (financial assistance) in an effort to help eligible cancer patients and survivors manage financial challenges of their diagnosis.
group gestures/survive, thrive & be fit:scccf offers a variety of healthy and active living opportunities for area cancer patients and survivors known as our "survive, thrive & be fit" program. Activities include: "gentle yoga for cancer survivors", "steps to survivorship" walks, "hiking along the cancer journey" hikes, "up the river with a paddle" kayaking, "survivors on snowshoes" and more! Together with the sheboygan county ymca's "livestrong at the y" program, we are "making sheboygan county the healthiest place to survive cancer. "
