Ever since the founding of She Angels in 2020, my perspective has transformed, revealing a profound purpose that drives me. I was struck by the glaring disparity in funding for women-led initiatives, a challenge that many face. But She Angels is here to change that narrative!
Through their innovative collective giving program, She Angels has awarded 45 grants to women-owned and operated nonprofits, empowering these vital causes to thrive. Each grant is not just a financial contribution; it’s a lifeline that transforms lives and fosters resilience.

Seeing first hand how a grant can lift women and girls, though boots on the ground small non profits around the Country is inspirational. Big charities get big sponsors. Small non profits need funds to develop their programs and help the community needs. She Angels is helping to fill that need and is just getting started.
A quick story on why I joined the mission of #sheangels. I have had the honor of being a first for women in the world of live announcing and voice over. I was one of the first women to launch a two decade career as a radio dj beginning in Detroit, NYC, Miami and Los Angeles. I was always one of the only women on the air staff. I have gone on to become the first woman in history to Live Announce the Oscars, Tony's, Emmys, R&R Hall of Fame, Kennedy Center Honors, ABC's Nightline and more.
Growing up with my dad and brothers then getting into radio where I was the only woman on the air, I felt more comfortable around men and sometimes found it very difficult to connect or trust women until I met Catherine Curry Williams, she is now my dear, dear friend whose commitment to philantropy and changing the world with the amazing women she surrounds herself with. This is why I am now a #SheAngel What can I say except "She Angels, are my people and helping underserved women and girls is my purpose."
