I have been with this organization for four years. It has created opportunities for people to serve vulnerable populations in their community, and does so in a way that is very accessible and encourages participation by anyone who shows an interest in helping out. As a teacher, I was also able to bring my students to get involved in the initiatives SHF carries out. Seeing multi-generational volunteers working side-by-side to make a real difference to the lives of people in the community has been immensely fulfilling, and would not have been possible without the hard work and culture created by SHF’s leadership team and specially its founder Arjuna. SHF provides opportunities for you to get involved in hands-on volunteering, such as making and delivering food packages to homeless people in LA, as well as fundraising activities that are then used to provide relief to people all over the world who are hurting and through not fault of their own, as in a vulnerable situation.

I have volunteered with Sharing Hands Foundation for more than 4 years now and it has been an extremely rewarding experience. We started as a small outfit and now we have many volunteers. We work together as a team, first Saturday of each month, making sandwiches, packing them, and distributing them to the homeless in Downtown Los Angeles. I am proud to be part of this organization and I look forward to its expansion with other programs.

Join us and be part of this charitable organization.

In 2016, my wife was diagnosed with lung cancer. She was looking for an organization to give her spiritual support during her illness. Mr. Dominic, contacted us, and arranged masses, rosaries and other religious functions for her on a regular basis. Sadly, she passed away in 2018. At this time the people at Sharing Hands, was very supportive to me, making arrangements for the religious functions, and moral support to my family. I became an active member of the organization, and attend the monthly feeding of the homeless, and other activities that are planned to help the needy. I am proud to be member of this organization.

This is truly a grass roots org that started in a garage. It’s main purpose is to feed and clothe the homeless. I am proud to be a volunteer. All members are volunteers and 100% of the food and donations go to the needy. Thanks to the founder - Francis Dominic, for having and sharing his vision with us. We make about 1,000- 1,200 food packages a month and we personally distribute it to the homeless downtown and anyone in need of food on the way DTWN. It’s a rewarding experience. Come join us or donate to this awesome org.
